Headliner Replacement - Trim or Wrap?

I'm getting around to replacing the headliner in my GW. Is it best to trim the overhang flush with the headliner board (like original) or leave it a little long and wrap it over to the backside?

I was thinking about wrapping it but I don't know if the side edges are wide enough to allow the headliner to sit in the slot.

"Thirded" on the wrap. Besides not shrinking out of the mounting channels, you can rest assured the same mounting channels won't split the material and the headliner board. Did three this way and never have a problem.

Thanks guys, sounds like I'll be going with my gut feeling to wrap it. Just wanted to double check before doing it and realizing it wouldn't fit.
