were there any odd little hurdles that you overcame? or any tips for the rest of us about to tackle a cam for the first time?

btw can we get a video of it idling?

funny thing, all the major stuff went very smooth. one hurtle was getting the ac condenser out of the way to pull and install the cam. i didn't want to disconnect it because i didn't want to lose my charge. took some fiddeling but i finally could pull it up and out of the way enough to slide out the old cam and install the new one. the biggest issues i had were dumb ones. one bolt on my intake didnt want to go in, as well as one on the valve cover. just took some persuasion. biggest thing i could say is keep organized. every thing i took out had a labeled bag for the bolts and brackets etc. also have a good friend that you can call for tips and watch youtube videos. there are a few on installing a cam that really helped

Very cool, what water pump did you use? I have had a water neck leak on my performer, have you seen any leaks?

Very nice, I see you have the proper beverage for turning some wrenches on the jeep.

Any issues getting your timing cover off/esp. back on? Did you loosen the oil pan any?

no just took out the two front bolts that go into the timing cover. you have to seat the bottom part of the timing cover first and slide the rest over the cran shaft other wise that seal on the bottom will push out.
