Pictures are at www.photobucket.com/cummins-jeep-j20. I still have to get the grill rechromed and I am still looking for some kind of fog light to put next to the grill. I also still need to get the bed lined.

It's nice on the highway, its no 401 but it still has plenty of pick up. I have 3.55 in the axles and a nv4500 5 speed. I don't have a tach in it yet so I'm not sure what the rpm is at highway speed but I think I'm getting decent MPG. I just drove it about 100 miles and used 1/4 tank. With the 18 gallon tank that should be about 5 gallons. Its a little noiser than I thought it would be but I have been told the early cummins were noisy. I don't mind the noise but I'm not so sure about my wife.

I got it from www.frozenboost.com It's 31X11.75X3 with 3 inch inlet and outlet. It fits in front of the factory radiator. All I had to do was remount the factory radiator so it sits straight up and not tilted forward at the bottom.

Your truck looks great! I hope to get a 6bt under my 82 waggy hood sooner rather than later.

pull up your carpet and put some dyna-mat or some other noise cancelling material under the carpet... then put some of the rubberized undercoating under the floor and it'll deaden almost all of the sound from the engine...

I used alot of noise cancelling material. You can see it in the picture of the engine, I used some under the hood. I also covered the floor and firewall, roof, inside the doors and even up behind the seats. The noise isn't really that bad, I kind of like it and when you get up to highway speeds its not bad at all.

Thought I would give a reliablitity update on my truck. I have been dd this thing since putting it together and have put about 60000 miles on the setup. Had to work out numerous bugs but it hasn't let me down too bad. I been thru a NAPA clutch due to faulty pressure springs, had the fuel pump rebuilt and put in a dana 60 high pinion ford front end for some of the major stuff. The fifth gear nut slipped off the other day on my nv4500 but was a easy enough fix and i guess is a common problem. I have driven this truck cross country to sturgis SD towing a trailer with no issues and towed upwards of 10000 pounds plus of scrap metal and vehicals with no major issues. I have been gettting 20-22 mpg on the highway, I drive 100 miles round trip a day for work. So anyone looking to do this I highly recomend a cummins diesel, nv4500 transmission 1 tons and a 205 tcase for the ultimate reliable setup.

Thank you very much for posting a 60,000 mile / two year daily driver reliability update.
It's a really cool truck and it looks like you've taken it on some pretty awesome adventures.
