    Need help ID'ing my distributor...

I have a '76 Cherokee that has an AMC 360 from supposedly an 80 Cherokee in it. I'm told the distributor is the original.

I'm trying to get a new rotor/cap as it needs it but none of the numbers that supposedly fit it, are correct. Seems like it's supposed to have a female cap but has a male cap.

    Thoughts?

I came up on that one while searching but I found none that looks like it.

Plastic vacuum advance canister is Prestolite. No doubt.

Resize your pictures to ca 800x600 and we can see it better.

I gave up finding a cap and just ordered a new hei distributor. It probably could have used a new one.

Make sure you swap the drive gear (do not use the one that comes on your new HEI, use the one on your Prestolite) or you will be pulling your timing cover in a couple thousand miles.
