73 wagoneer disk brake conversion

So I decided to do the disk conversion on the front and the caliper hit the shock before full turn could be made. So I welded a bracket on the bottom shock mount and relocated the bottom of the shock inward about an 1 1/2. Anybody else ran into this problem.

We had to do the same on the 69 Gladiator. We kept losing the peddle because the shock mount collapsed the caliper. A sawsall and a stick welder fixed the problem. I can

BTDT sorta...

Same problem, different fix. Found an OEM set of spring plates with two shock mount studs.
Drilled them to fit the Dana 27 and fit them between the spring and original plate. Moved the shock mount inboard and added a sway bar mount at the same time.

On my 71 with a closed knuckle 44 the flow bolt on the caliper would hit the shock at the limits of steering. Cut the shock mount tabs off the axle and welded back on about 3/4" inboard. Problem solved.
