    It finally happened!!!!!

Had a 3:20 doctors appointment today. Drove the Wagon, and when I came out a new GRAND WAGONEER was parked right next to ours. Took A few pics.

The old wagons look so small compared to the newer ones.

      That is so cool!

But, I would take your rig over the new one any day and all day...

I see one everyday dropping off and picking up my daughter from school. Crazy how big the new ones are.

Absolutely. I think Jeep should have made the styling on the new ones look more like the old ones.

They did. They put Jeep Grand Wagoneer on it. That is as close as Jeep could get for styling.

I got pics last winter in downtown of mine next to a brand new one...I hate how big the new ones are it's crazy.

There are like three of them when parent are at the HS here...but the people driving the new ones don't seem to pay hardly any attention to the outside world and are off in their cyberspace. Ok that's not fair, but they never look at the SJ twice, and it's BRIGHT blue.

The irony (to me) is how much older ours are, and they still get the same mileage, and will carry almost as much inside, AND you get to be cool while doing it

BTW your rig looks really good.

Kinda funny. I wonder what the guy's thoughts were parking next to you. Maybe to impress you with how far the Wag has come? Pfft. Camaraderie? Well, it's a Jeep.

                  Another of the same.

I don't hate the new ones. I am also a little bummed they didn't throw us old FSJs a little more of a bone with styling cues.

I see them all over Boise. I sat in one at the dealer last weekend and its as nice as you would think a $100k SUV would be. Only 40 years and 350k miles until I can afford one!

Yes keeping some of the old body lines similar to the late model muscle cars would have been cool. Camaro's, Challengers, Mustangs etc.. You can see the resemblance. Wagoneers are so darn cool.. I just can't get over that..

We're obviously not the market they are aiming at. It's funny to me that the commercial for it I've seen has only about a one second shot of an original. I guess they don't want potential buyers to get too nostalgic.

Full Size Jeeper is a car guy,
because he parked as far over to the right as he could

so the car in the next spot would not hit his with their door !!!

i have done that many times.

and yes your FSJ is much more fun than than the new GW.

the new G.W.'s just look like a tahoe.

100 grand for a new one but guess which one will get more thumbs ups by other drivers.
