Looking for previous owner 79 Cherokee Chief from Texas

Hello there, all. I have just recently purchased my first FSJ, a 1979 Cherokee Chief WT out of Denton Texas. I got it off ebay (auction 110925639071) from someone who apparently only had it a few months, and he bought it from John Dalton, out of Kerens, Texas, according to the receipts that came with it. Mr. Dalton did a ton of work to it, but I have questions with respect to some of the mods, like the Jacobs Stop action and the rear window switch. Right now it won't start and the window won't come down, even though it ran fine a few days ago and the window supposedly worked when it was sold. My stepfather picked it up for me and trailered it to Houston, where I will visit and pick it up when I can get there. If you're still a member here, I would appreciate a response. Thanks, and I look forward to being a member and making the Cherokee even meaner!

p.s. I tried to upload the photo I have of the New Toy, but it won't upload for some reason. The avatar is a pic of it on the trailer on the 12th when my stepdad picked it up.
p.p.s. It would appear I have a Model 17 Cherokee S instead of a Cherokee Chief. But the stripes don't match either........

                        I love it....

You guys are hilarious. I figure I'm going to spend as much time at the keyboard as under the jeep. Just read through the post about "Why FSJ's" and figured I'd see at least one post about how tough they are. Newer wranglers might come with 44s at both ends, but all I see in the magazines are how they're not "REAL" dana 44s. V8, turbo 400, twin Dana 44s? All in a package that looks better. I also have an 04 Rubicon, and I gotta tell ya, I'm much more geeked about what I can do to the Cherokee. Plus, it hauls my dogs, my junk, my wife, and enough gear to keep us all sheltered and fed for a week. The only downside is no removable top. Oh, and gas is 3.80 a gallon. But, the rubi only gets 15-16 anyway, so.....

                          Oh, yeah...

Tad, thanks for the heads up. NC wagoneer, cold day in hell. It took forever to find one I wanted, and this one turned out to be a nice surprise. Engine, tranny, Tcase, and both axles recently rebuilt with quality parts by professionals, Detroit lockers front and rear, Warn winch, fresh-ish Maaco paint, and redone interior. Now if it would just start..... Found a broken pickup wire in the distributor, which was why it was running rough when stepdad picked it up. So, new distributor and, IT LIVES!!!!! Previous owner had installed the cap backwards, i don't know how, that's why it has a keyed slot on it, and that most likely did the distributor in.
