Is it just me, or are alot of the OG posters coming back online lately?

There are few things I love more on this site than seeing folks with a join date that is 15+ years ago. I love seeing folks with thousands of posts, join dates in 15+ years ago, and just coming back.

I don't want to call anyone out specifically, but for you guys (and gals) from the original email list, and those that have been idle for while, Thanks for coming back! Thanks for your experience!

Return of the living dead. Complete with music no one else has heard since around 1990. I have a country rock album probably none y’all heard.

It's good to be back; this time around, however, I'm much older and wiser, and a *lot* of the things we were just trying to figure out twenty years ago has been well-documented in the meantime, so people can just get answers from the tech archives. LS-swaps weren't even a thing the last time I did a build, and now there are whole forums on them.

But it's good to see the familiar names, and all the NEW people getting interested in these FSJs.

This one time, I was talking with HMT81, and he told me about this cooky oooooooooold man that he bought a Golden Eagle from once. Said that guy listened to Yanni, Yo-Yo Ma, and Kenny G, while working on his pink low riding mini-truck. I think that really old man was on this forum too. HMT81 said his name was Rustow, eerrr, Risty, or.... Mistow... something like that?

The day I saw a guy and his dog wheeling a stock Crown Vic on Steel Bender trail in Moab shattered all the reasons I had a Jeep.

Probably seeing these people because everyone is stuck at home with nothing to do but play on the internet.
Is it sad that I posted this just so I could see my own post and see what my join date was?

Edit: guess I have been on here longer than I thought. I have never left. I always visit the forums at minimum once a week. I am just not a super high volume poster.

I started sometime in those days, about 1998 or so when I got my '88 Grand Wagoneer, but not on the earliest iterations. I remember the moves from place to place, however. And John Meister's central role.

For those who may not be aware of it, there's a nice little overview of the early history here on this site:

http://www.ifsja.org/history.html

I wish there were archives of those early posts.
