    Reproduction door panels, headliner etc

    Anyone making repro door panels and reproduction cardboard headliner for just trucks?

    Tried to post in correct area of forum but wouldn't let me make a thread.

    There is (was) a dude selling them in ABS. I bought the headliner and kick panel covers, may end up getting the door panels too. The headliner was cut out of ~1/8" flat stock, so it had to be heated and formed to fit, but it's in and the front tabs more or less lined up.

        i when to home depot and got a 4x8 sheet for FRB board (fiber reinforcement board) $39 it's the stuff use for back splash, public restrooms. ect. ect i used my old warped panels as a pattern has a smooth or texture side. can be painted or i'am going to use the same material that i had my seat recovered

          If you are using a backer board that will absorb a liquid, coat them with Minwax "wood hardener" before covering them with vinyl or what ever. It will waterproof them and make them resistant to warping.

          There is a member "Tatsayago" ?? over at the other site that is making embossed vinyl door panels. I am not sure if mentioning the "other site" is a no no. I am sure I will find out. But you might check there. He has perfected the process nicely.

          I will be attempting to make the earlier models in about a year when I catch up on my build.

            The panels Men In Black makes is spot on.....he has made fixtures to reproduce the panels.

              I made need these as well. One of the previous owners of mine thought shag carpet was the auto interior material of choice.
