    Back in it...1974 J20 401

    [IMG][/IMG]Hey everyone, have been back and forth on this forum for years and recently was fortunate enough to purchase a 74 J20 with factory 401. I have been doing some work on it with the help of a good friend. Have lots of little stuff to do to it still but overall like the progress.
    Question, does anyone know production numbers for the 401 option in the J20 for 1974? Not finding much myself...
    Thanks and glad to be back!

    I don't know the production numbers, but I have to congratulate you on finding a great looking truck. That is just beautiful.
    * 1981 stepside, 360, 727, 208, almost stock daily driver.
    * 1982 Laredo j-10, 360, 727, in rough shape and in the process of being rebuilt with 401, NV4500, Klune,
    . NP205,d60 front, d70 rear, fender work and minimal lift. It will probably take 10 years
    * 1973 jcab mounted on 1983 j20 frame. 360/t18/208 d44/d60. Almost completed

          Thanks everyone. It came out of South Carolina. Frame needed patching and top had some issues but overall was in decent shape when I found it.
          Will keep looking for production info.

            Beautiful truck..
            By the way , there is a 74 article about a J20 with the combo 401-T18 from the factory, but i never saw one. So i guess that you have a TH400 ?
            I have a lot of stats but not the 401 production, if you get something, i'll be interested
