Hi-Lift jack mounting

Has anyone mounted a Hi-Lift jack to their FSJ?

I'd like to see pics of the various mounting locations.

Not on a fsj but have on CJ's and a few trucks. Mount 2 L-brackets to the bumper. Bolt the base to one and the frame near the upper end to the other.

I have. I'll get a pic as soon as I'm done welding up and routing some exhaust pipe. Basically, I used the hood style mounts just inside the rear door on the floor. We're in Moab jeeping every year at least once for 2 weeks, so I don't like going places there without it. Guarentee I do more bouncing and moving around than 99% of GW's, so if mine didn't move at all there, I'm guess it wouldn't on yours either. stays out of the way there and is easy to access when needed.

Send pics in a few when it's off the rack. taking a coffee break.

On my J10 I just used hardware available from the same company and mounted it to the side rail inside the truck bed (using some 2x4 to provide adequate space). Since I have since removed the jack (leaving the mounts in place), there is no point in uploading a photo.

hood mount

I used to have a JK and had a River Raider hood mount. Building up a GW now and wished there was a similar mount available, but haven't found anything yet.

If I had to have one - I would mount it on the roof rack frame, or under the rear passenger seat, with a bit of work you could put it in the dead spaces in the rear cargo area sides

I made a bracket for my lights and off of that bracket I made small brackets for the jack, Ian sure you could do something like that without the light bracket

Never had it mounted on my J20, enough room in the back just to throw it in. I had it on my CJ, base resting on bumper with bolt and lock clamp from Hilift holding it on to wheel carrier frame. Broke off after a few years of driving, they are real heavy and need a really strong mount. only used it a few times and it was more trouble than it was worth.
