A FEW DUMB J10 QUESTIONS

I have a few questions.

Does anyone know how much a J10 windshield costs, and did they originally have the radio antenna in them.

Where can I find levis interior stuff. all mine was growing moss and twelve year old me tore it out and put vinyl from a scrap jeep in.

Safelite did my windshield. You can contact the local office for a price. I've been told the glass is "thinner" than original, you could contact the local automotive glass shop about an original windshield.

I don't know the year of your J-truck, but the 82 and earlier didn't have the antennae in the windshield.

I had a WS replaced by one of those mobile auto glass companies in my driveway. Using my orig gasket it was $200. but that was 12(?) years ago. A new gasket would have been another $80-$90.

No FSJ ever came with the antenna in the windshield. That was a GM thing, I believe.

thanks. mine is a 78 model golden eagle, but there is no antenna hole anywhere on it.

Im also afraid that when they take out the glass that it will be rusted out around it and Ill have to drive it home with no windshield to do some fab work.

Had my 78 honcho windshield replaced at safelite for $275. I had bought a new gasket, but they didn?t want to use it as they said it is hard to get them not to leak. So as long as the seal doesn?t leak now you shouldn?t need to worry about them taking it out and any potential rust issues.

In terms of the levy interior, mine also was pretty much destroyed. It is very difficult to find these. I had the seats redone, put in a sms headliner and redid the door cards myself. Also covered the dash pad and put in new carpet. Good luck!

the seal only leaks when it rains... so I'm sure its rusted. what color carpet did you order?

If you need to fix the rust waiting isn't going to make it better. just do it.

Your windshield never had an antenna so there are only two explanations to your rig not having an antenna hole. it was either a radio delete vehicle or someone filled it in when they painted it.


I can't say for sure but the best I could tell from my research is the tan interior in my 78 Golden eagle used Nutmeg color carpet. I assume all tan interiors in 78 used this color.

It had new blue carpet installed when I bought it, and used a tan headliner from sms. I would recommend the blue carpet if you have the Levi edition interior.

A golden eagle could only have the tan Levi's interior .
