Back glass stuck down Need help

My Tailgate window is stuck down, its cold and my new exhaust is straight out the back. How can i get it up enough to replace it with my new teamwagoneer.com manual crank.

Guessing since you are replacing it with a manual kit that it is electric? You MIGHT be able, if you can access the gear mechanism, to take the window carrier off the scissor assembly. Then you can just pull the window to the upright position. Of course it won't stay there however, so not sure what you can do after that.

Perhaps you can disconnect it from the scissor assembly and then pull the scissors to the upright position and then reattach it to the window carrier? That wouldn't work on mine however, window must be down to close the rear gate. Not sure how it is on other models.

second the last post..... I had the same problem. you have to reach in with a long screw driver or some long niedle nose and take the c-clips off, then push the assembly down with the screw drvier as a prybar on the track, no the glass.

once both arms are off, pull the window out and support it..... carefull when you take the electric motorr off, its under a lot of tension and well try to take some of your fingers off.....

Thank guys, I removed the clips and pulled the glass out. I'm taking the entire unit out and putting a crank in to fix all motor problems.
