I may be mistaken but I think the AMC Saginaw pump housings are different than the Chebby ones (slightly). I think the pump itself is the same but the housing is slightly different (like where in the inlet and outlet are). Yes, I have seen a different low-pressure connection on the back of a lot of them; the hard line being bent at angle, instead of ours coming straight out.1980 Cherokee WT

Look at Ford Econoline ones 75-90ish.
