AC Condenser... WTH

Tried removing my AC Compressor to Condenser line, and, well, at the condenser side, this happened...

Tried looking for a replacement condenser, but this doesn't seem good. I haven't been able to find OE or even tubular condensers.

Firstly, the head of the fitting just tossed because it wouldn't budge. Secondly, the 3/8" aluminum tube just got torqued and I don't trust it under pressure now.

What do you guys think, an old radiator shop should able to do this since it's aluminum, right?

I'll give them a call today.

But, does anybody think it can be repaired?

I would chop the fittings from both ends and use a 45deg compression coupler.

Ended up just getting a new parallel condenser from Amazon. Shipping showed up the next day.

However, Jeep air has an amazing setup for wagoneer/CJs and it's priced to sell.

I just couldn't wait that long from Florida.

What was great was that I was able to put an over sized condenser in. I could care less that more Freon is needed, as long as it is highly efficient, I'm stoked.

Here's the Amazon purchase. This is about an inch too big on all sides, but I fabricated C-Channel aluminum from the home dashpot, and used the original bracket with it: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Here's the one from Jeepair.com that isn't quite a direct fit, but from what I've read and after speaking with Jeepair is easily adaptable to a FSJ: https://jeepair.com/condensers/grand...condenser.html

After charging, ends up being that the expansion valve was bad, Ended up replacing the valve and the evaporator since it was all open at the same time.

Just too bad that the valve was bad because it would have been done but I had to take it to a shop to get the Freon recovered. Good news is that they're crediting me the amount put in, plus $75/hour. So, it's a good deal over all.

But I'd consider a 22 or 23" wide... will fit better.
