    Took the plunge!

found a lightly used one for a screamin deal!

Edelbrock is the most respected name in performance! Since 1938, Edelbrock has manufactured its core products in the USA for quality and performance.

hopefully get it installed in the next few weeks, hunting season and all may delay me a bit but should be a sweet setup!

    Looking forward to your results!

    Don't forget to get a NEW wideband O2 sensor. Personally, I wouldn't trust a take-out.

Deer/elk/antelope season is sure slowing me down! Leak is fixed and primed the system 6 or 7 times and got the fuel pressure set to the recommended 43 psi. I will be sure to get you guys some pics in a couple days! Nothing too revealing or surprising in there, the shiny new parts sure make my engine compartment look crummy!

DONE! Fired it up today, took a couple of starts but this thing is ridiculous, the longer it runs the better it gets. Amazingly smooth. Went and drove it around here a bit in the country to help it "learn" and just got better as it went. My wife didn't even hear me pull in the driveway! It is still weird, I'm used to having to work the throttle and do all this stuff to get the thing to fire, now, I reach in the window and turn the key... I am a happy puppy and it was worth every penny... After it has been tested for some time I will "purtify" my engine compartment but functionality is key right now. Now onto the next project!

                    Looking good!!!

I spaced my accelerator cable mounting bracket with some longer bolts and a spacer sleeve underneath the bracket. It'll help that steep angle you've got right now.

Also, if you can mount the cable further away from the pivot point (I see one more smaller hole on the linkage that you might be able to use!) you'll have less pressure required to move the throttle which will result in smoother opening since you won't have to really stomp on the pedal just to get it moving.

What does a system like this go for from the MFR? Which ignition are you running?

For that price I imagine that it should run quite well

True. But he doesn't have to mess with code masks, AFR's and tuning.

Some people just want their trucks to run.
