I have figured out with the worn out springs I can get about 1/2 cord of wood in the back before the tires start to rub on bumps.

She went into the shop getting fitted with the new the SBC 350 bored 30 over, Holley double pumper, Edelbrock performer intake, SM465/np205, finished off with dual exhaust with Flo-Pro Twisters.

The LED strips lights are really cool but fell off the metal roof due to condensation and they also don't like to be bent at sharp angles. So I need to figure some out some type of track for them with gradual bends.

i ran a set of black soft 8 17x9's originally on my truck with 37's...looked good. only bad part is tire prices depending on make and size go thru thru the rrof compared to a 15". i say if it's going to be a wheeler go steel or if you're making into a nice around town type rig then a good set of aluminum rims might look good. in my opinion i couldn't justify buying another set of 17" tires to fit vs the 15's and how much less they r cost wise

Ya I agree the price difference between 15" to 17" is huge. unfortunately the brake kit i got for the gm 10 bolt requires 17" wheels. The Toyo A/T II 35's look pretty nice.

I'm not a blue guy either, so I get why you're changing it up. Dying fabric and carpet, or vinyl paint is an option- I've done that before.

That's a real nice ride, blue, or not! It's looking great.

If that 258 was a runner, sell it on Craigslist. Over here in Spokane, WA. You can sell them all day long as many folks want them.

barn doors help?

Does any one have the know how to make "barn Doors"?
I'm starting to shoe horses and I don't want to drag my 125# anvil across the tailgate all day every day I think the glass will eventually break.

FireCaptain13 is making some barn doors:

Also, JP is a farrier & blacksmith. You should touch base with him about horse shoeing.

running and driving

So the jeep made her mayden voyage Monday. No reverse and no power steering made things entertaining going threw Seattle. A few quirks needing to be addressed: power steering, reverse, emergency brake, distributor keeps coming loose etc etc.

But she sounds loud and awesome!! I need to get a good sound clip posted

how much did it cost to have that setup installed by the shop? i have the same setup in mine but throttle body injection. i need a shop that can wire up the fuel injection and finish up the rest of the odds and ends.
