Hi all, i reside in the uk,
And i have purchased a right hand drive 1979 cherokee chief with a rotten body
The chassis is perfect as is the running gear, i manage to start it the other evening and it runs slightly rough, which i think is down to the lack of vacuum.
I will be spending a lot of time on this forum because i need to service and rebuild the engine aswell as the auto box, transfer box, and axles.
    Thank you.

Welcome, sounds like you have your work cut out for ya. I am always impressed by those of you in other countries trying to save these rigs.
One day I will wake up and realize that my jeep is complete...one day, I just know it.

Welcome to the forums. Lots of good information and folks here. Also, there was another member from UK that picked up an FSJ and recently took delivery of a NOS body that he had shipped over from the States. Looking forward to seeing/hearing about your project on it.

          Rebuild

I wish i was in a position to ship in an original, im a big fan, looks class with the right setup.
Im affraid mine will have an alternative body, but the heart of a Jeep.
Got to make one small comment, while stripping im amazed how heavily built these things were.

            Indeed! Build thread here:
Hi All, So the tear down of my RHD 2dr Cherokee Chief has finally started, not much to see at the moment apart from scruffy parts and rust! Seeing as it's pretty unique I thought you'd like to see the RHD conversion that was used for these "official" Jeep UK models. It's pretty crazy, rather than use a RHD

Glad you are here! looking forward to seeing you around on here!
