    aluminum 727 pan

Anybody using one? If so how well does it clear the cross member. My current pan looks to have been run over by a tank. I flattened it out reasonably wel, but after a few months it starts leaking again. I can get a "stock" style pan, but I would rather have aluminum if possible. This will be #3 gasket replacement, not in a hurry for #4.
    Thanks

i have one - its a little deeper than stock making access to some bolts chalenging/impossible, i notched my cross member and drilled a few holes to gain access.....get one with a drain plug...it makes the fluid changes easier

and DO not buy the crap gaskets, get the mopar lifetime ones make of plastic with twin rubber seals imbedded in them

          Like this?

Is the flange any heavier than stock.

Any pictures of where you notched and drilled. This is probably the route I am going as well.

Only $55 and you would rather drill and notch your cross member? Just curious.

problem is the pan is so deep you cant get to the middle bolts easilly - or at all ( and i have fairly small hands) round holes are the best way to go- you only need a few...probably only a goo idea for a daily driver - light offroad, dosnt look to compromise the intergity too much

I would just prefer the rigidity of an aluminum pan. If I could find one that was only slightly deeper than stock, that would be great. I haven't found one yet.

Same here, but I admit I'm probably trying to over fix the bent pan issue. I'm not interested in drilling and notching the cross member. The one I linked is an inch deeper, but I haven't crawled under to see how access will be.
