so i've been pretty broke lately, to the point of not even driving my waggy more than once a week. because of my brokeness, when my xj messed up and i had to drive the wag, i put 89 octane gas in instead of the normal 93 i had been using. so on the long, steep hills toward home, ol' maggy started pinging- and REALLY noticeably. i couldn't afford to drain the gas and refill, or even get octane booster, so when i got home, i retarded the timing a bit and drove it some more.
HOLY COW! maggie runs better than she has the whole time i've owned her! better gas mileage, to the tune of 15mpg (it was closer to 6 or 7), a ton more power, and just smoother over all!
i'm pretty stoked about it!
so now that she runs good again, i've been thinking that my woodgrain is starting to look kinda rough. i think i'm going to start seriously considering peeling the wood off for now (temporarily until i can afford to repaint the whole thing) and see how i like it. thoughts?
