I recently came across some firefighting magazines I had saved since the early 90's (retired firefighter) and found these Jeep fire engines. As best as I can tell, all were built by Howe, which also built full size fire trucks. They started building small fire engines on Jeep MB's and Willys trucks after WW2, then FC's, then the J-truck chassis. In 1994 this FC was still in service in The Bronx, NYC, one of the few remaining volunteer outfits in NYC.
I am also posting photos for the first time using imgur, so hopefully this works!
