76 401 Chero Project Thread

So my signature was getting to long and wouldn't save so I decided to start a Project Thread.

Purchased in December for $1200 and so far I've done the following

Project Progress:
K&N Air Filter,
ProComp ES3000 Shocks & ES2000 Stabalizer,
Bumper Pieces,
Wiper Switch,
Reglued Gauge Covers,
Side Mirrors,
Coolant Reservoir,
Fuel Filter,
Thermostat & Housing,
4350 Carb Rebuild x2,
Valve Cover Gasket,
Fuel Pump,
Tranny Filter,
QT Fluid,
Radiator Flush,
Wheel Bolt (this story makes me feel dumb),
Mallory HEI
Replaced Radiator with late 80's model wagon rad.
Patched hole in Gas Tank (Sprayed bedliner on tank and skid plate)
Steering Rag Joint--7/5/08 (it shouldn't be such a pain to replace a $7 part)

Next up:
Fuel Pickup tube filter (have parts)-Going with Inline Filter Instead
2" lift-block rear, AAL front (have almost all parts-need spring clamps)--Completed 04/14/08
Wheel Bearing Check and Grease

Hopefully Before Ouray:
31" BFG M/T may just settle for a new spare--going w/ new spare. Had 3 matching 235/75/15 Wild Contry RVT's and bought a third.
Save for Gas

Dreamin for Now:
4-6" lift
401 Rebuild
Dent and Rust Removal
Spray in liner for the entire interior
Recover Seats
Front and Rear Offroad Bumber w/ winch and spare & gas can carrier
I also have this idea for a false bottom rear cargo area with rollout tray under. This would be great for camping and having a place for all the gear. Or I could go with the big rack on top w/ popup tent.

If you have any suggestions please let me know.
