    Cruise Control

I've read a few threads about adapting cruise control systems from other vehicles with oem cruise control, but I'm still not completely clear on everything. Has anyone ever used any aftermarket systems to retrofit cruise control to an edlebrock carbureted FSJ before? What parts/vehicles do I need to look for or what aftermarket companies make what I might need to add cruise control to the J20 with an Eddy 1406? Thanks guys.

    This one will work

With a little tracing you can use the column switch

If you can't make it better why waste your time. No use repeating the orignal mistakes. I'm to old to push it that's why.

Audiovox used to have one for about $100 at Pepboys. I installed one on a customers car and it worked just fine. There are a few aftermarket ones available.

Edit. Well I guess they no longer make the ccs-100 as a couple of place online show it as 'N/A'. But there are several kinds for around $200.

Sears still has it, just costs more. http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_1...=SPM1780300001

I have the CSS-100 on thumper, and had it on my Scrambler, that was and edl carb, the J20 went from 2150 to TBI, sucks they stopped making it. I am sure the new kit works fine, reads like it uses an electric motor instead of vacuum, probable because all the new stuff on the road have 4 bangers and are not easy to tie into the vac on, not an issue with our old beasts, but market demand determines product....for $100 it was a great buy, if I knew it was going to be discontined, I would have got a half dozen
