    rancho shocks

I have been searching the net for info on a set of old rancho shocks that are on my 1976 Cherokee chief and have seen better days (evidence of oil leaking from all four) any ways on the shocks there are two numbers: 1008 and T1AB as well as made in Canada. I think the jeep may be lifted link https://photos.google.com/photo/AF1Q...5VMkeFVEPxe2lE

sorry haven't masterd the picture thing

any info would be helpfull thanks

I'm sure there are plenty of modern options. Just check the extended and compressed lengths...

My dad installed a 3" lift (in the early 80s?) on my 76. It has Rancho shocks and I believe the entire kit may have been from Rancho. I still am running them today. Don't know if it helps.

i have always heard nice things about the company.

Yes RANCHO brand shocks are still available. The brand is owned by =MONROE= and are built in the same factories. (I worked there for 24 years) I will look in my catalogue tomorrow and try to come up with something for you.

Thanks for all the replies. I measured them , extended they were 24” and retracted they were 15”. Bilstien had a set with those specs.... and wouldn’t you know they were listed for the Wagoneer and Cherokee of 1976 as well as others. Went ahead and ordered a set from my local 4 wheel parts. Thanks again

I think you have a lift, too. Best way to check is to look for part numbers on your springs. Your spring packs look much different than any others I have seen (I haven't seen a ton, though) on FSJs.

Yeah, those are yours. I'm hoping someone will recognize them as Rancho, BJs, Rustys, etc. springs and hopefully know whether or not they are lift springs.

BTW, I'll email you all the pics I have of your rig.
