    Very nice! VERY nice!

Did you get a good price on those bolts? LOL! I have weatherized connectors I have used on my projects that I also got for a good price.

Fastenal over the years has been selling more and more aircraft hardware. I sell aircraft hardware too but I'm not a distributor like they are. I just sell surplus and overstock stuff. It really is a lot better quality over standard automotive hardware though.

Finally got the rest of her put together.

That will get installed at a later date.

Now onto the Jeep's runability/drivability issues.

How does the brake arm attach to the case? My 68 has the transfer case parking brake, but it isn't hooked up. I found an arm on ebay awhile back, but not sure how it's held onto the case (bolt, pin, other?) I'm also interested in how the cable is routed.

If you look closely at the second picture in my last post you can sort of see the stud and castle nut used to hold the lever on near the back of the drum. I haven't routed the cable yet and am unsure how I will go about doing it or if I will even use the foot pedal at all, I have an idea for a handbrake lever.

Good buddy of mine, MattMopar440, picked it up out of Missouri. Condition is unknown but it does turn over and the price was right. It is in Illinois now and will be awhile before it makes it out here to Kalifornia.

In the mean time, these came in!

But I need a bit more lift to fit them...35x12.50R15

But my 6" BJ's lift is on back order for the foreseeable future...

                      So here I wait...

                            Small update

I had a weird shimmy and rattle coming from the rear end of the Jeep and a groaning/howling noise at highway speed. Time to get the Jeep in the air and shake it down. Found the rear bearings loose. Great. I just replaced those only five years ago, with Timken bearings none the less.

I am not keeping this rear axle so cheapo Vatozone bearings it is...seals are Timken, though:

While I'm in there I decided to convert the axle to bathe the axle bearings in oil rather than grease. So, out come the inner seals:

Pull the carrier and clean all the muck and sludge out of the tubes as to not contaminate the oil going to the axle bearings:

While the tubes are accessible I decide to re-tap the breather tube hole and put a new fitting on for the hose:

Since I'll be moving the thick front diff cover to the rear for more oil capacity I decided to re-tap the front breather tube hole, too:

And I also installed my new SUPER BEEFY iron diff cover from Riddler, Mfg. with a LubeLocker gasket and more aircraft grade 12 point bolts on the front :

Also, earlier this week I installed an HD steering shaft from a CJ with manual steering on my new J-20 steering box to delete the rag joint.
