    Re: Fitech

Got my tbi unit......fuel,pump is bout a month out
Pace sends you the corvette filter and fittings so you just have to run return from filter to tank instead of from tbi to tank

The FI system seems to be a completely proprietary set up. I am anxious to hear how it runs for you.

Wow! These guys seem really reasonable in their prices. So, what's the total system going to cost ya? I know the others are over $2K by the time you buy the fuel pump kit..

Yes...it also came with the fittings for the fuel filter and an fittings too.
So.......for the fitech, the corvette filter with all the fittings, the inline pump with 2 billet filters, all the an fittings for tbi to pump etc, 20 ft of fi rated -8 hose and 5 ft of -6 hose I'm in it for $1198.
I think the only extra I'm going to need is a 5/16 tube to change my return in my fuel sending unit, some wire to extend a few wires and maybe some clamps to hold fuel hose.
Not to bad I dont think for what I have.

And I'm pretty sure I can make a duraspark dist......which I have several......work for timing control for next to no $$$.
But that will be phase 2.....want to get it running on fuel only first.

Very Kool! I put in the Generic Howell TBI and it cost me a little over $1200. The Howells don't have timing or Learning and I had to stuff the ECM under the dash

All factory systems are self correcting and learning!

Howell chooses to only use half the system so you only get half the benefits of a good EFI system.
I do have upgrade kits for the those that bought the Howell system that upgrades it to be more like my system with fuel and timing control.

Still haven't installed it yet. Just got my fuel pump. Have a few little projects to do then I'm going to start on it.

nightglide, are you going to replace the stock 5/16" fuel tank outlet line in the fuel pickup to 3/8" as per the Fitech instructions? It's the one thing I'm not sure what I'm going to do...or if it's even really necessary...

I am waiting for my system to come in and I'm just going over stuff before I dive in...
