4 Waggys coming my way! LOTS of pictures- (Fixed I hope)

I've mentioned this in my J20 build thread, so I figured I'd go ahead and make it official. I purchased 4 project Wagoneers! 3 are fairly complete, 1 is a parts vehicle, and I paid $500 for the lot. Got them from a really neat guy who can't stand to see a vehicle junked. He's been working at various shops for years, and brings home everything that customers don't repair. There are about a hundred various vehicles on his property. I got the 4 Jeeps left- he sold 6 last year including 2 2-door Cherokees!

My biggest problem will be where to keep them, and then finding the time to work on them. I have my J20 to finish and then my 81 Scrambler. I'm having a small shop built which should be finished in Feb. That will help.

First one- a 1966. This one is the most complete of the lot, and aside from a dent behind the Driver's rear, it's really straight. This one has a title, and will be restomodded. Had a 327/th400. The TH400 was rebuilt at 65K miles. and the owner then found out the engine was bad, and parked it for about 20 years. The 327 went away about 10 years ago and was replaced with a Chev 229 V6. I didn't want that so the seller kept it. So, even though it doesn't look it, it has 65K miles on it.

Next is the Patina Princess. It is a 1970, originally had a Buick 350 with air and some other goodies. This one came with paperwork for a replacement title, but everything looks good. Another Restomod candidate, but I may keep the patina. Imagine AWD and a hot 6.2 Vette engine. At least that's what sounds good now.

On to the 1968. This one is from California, and has no title, just a pile of paperwork illustrating how infuriating dealing with the DMV can be. Again, no Eengine/trans, but plenty of nice parts. I doubt I can get a title for this one, but I have a plan...

Last but not least, the 1972. It's a partster, originally had a 360, and it's strong point is that it has a title. It also has a pretty nice dash and some good interior parts. I'm thinking that if I can't get a title for the CA 1968, I will use the 68 to rebuild this one.

So today I got all the paperwork and made the deal official. I'll bring home the 1966 first- he got the 229 pulled and we moved it out front so I could grab it. Pics from today-

So... input? One of these will be built specifically for my wife, to somewhat copy the "Chief" concept from last year. Imagine this-

combined with some of the styling cues and color of this-

The big question I'm having is on my "Chief Concept Clone" (CCC) for my wife. My original thought was to use the 1966, but it's pretty complete... I'd probably be smarter to build the CCC off the 68/72 conglomeration, but having a Kaiser in the stable, as well as it being the oldest makes me want to build the CCC on it. I also want a Razor grille for the CCC, but if it's a full custom I guess there's no real heresy in putting a Razor on a titled 72. All three will end up with 5.3/4L60E conversions or better. I will end up selling the other two. So, thoughts? I probably have a couple years to decide...

congrats on all. Sounds like you have a plan. Pick the best one for the wife. Put everything on it including A/C and she will be happy. I like the baby blue/white combo. It should rock!

Congrats ! I can't see the pictures either, except the blue one. BTW can you share the VIN plate or at least the yellow VIN sticker with VIN and production date for the 1970 ?

Hopefully I fixed it- let me know if one or both still aren't visible.

That's the one I'm working on getting a title for. Next time I'm out by it I'll snap a pic of the plate/sticker.

No pics for me, either. Just a grey circle with a dash inside it for each picture.

If using google photos easiest way to do them is create an album, share the album, then add pics, and copy/paste links.
Doing the share deal with pics is a real pita, and problematic from my experience.
Using goo.gl to shorten the ridiculously long google pic links also makes it a little easier.

Ugh. removed and reinserted all the photos again. Any luck? Also tried something different on 2 pics in the last post. The funny thing is I can see them on all my devices as long as I'm logged in...

Not working here either.

The files you are trying to link are ending in "s1263-w1263-h947-tmp.jpg-no". Usually hostable URLs are not that long, either.

Before you put an image link into the [ img ] [ /img ] tags when making a post, copy and paste it into a new incognito or private browser window and make sure it loads for you. If it does, it will likely load for us as well.

Also make sure that the link begins with http:// www. site.com instead of something like file://c:/Windows/system32/drivers/etc/randomphoto.jpg.

Also ensure that the end of the link says .JPG, or .JPEG or whatever format your photos are in; forum software does not always interpret voodoo image links very well.
