Thanks guys. Wife likes it----the world is a good place!
Today I swept the floor, used the leaf blower with all the door open and blew the shop out. Then I braved the elements - its snowing outside-- and opened all the doors and hosed all the floor out. It was ready to paint. Paint I did!
A couple of days ago we got notice that the Forest Service had sold logging rights for several hundred acres around our development and that logging would take place very quickly. No s***!
I got done with 2 color coats on the cab and it was so dang cold in the shop the paint was freezing. Not quite, but you get the point. Shut the doors and sprayed another coat of color. My at-the-gun-filter failed and two HUGE drops of water flew out as I was spraying the top of the cab. ***** GD *****!
Changed out the filter and shut the doors and sprayed another coat
---cough, cough, cough--I was wearing a respirator but my eyes were not. More ****! Maybe that should be blink, blink, blink!
Oh well. Life goes on.
Then CRAP started drifting in from the logging many, many, many, many yards away. Not far enough!!!!
All kinds of dirt nubs in my base coat color!
So now I will wait until tomorrow and sand that crap out using 1,000 or better grit and fog with another coat of color, followed by clear!
Have I ever said I hate bodywork and painting. WELL LET ME SAY IT NOW!
NOT SURE HOW MUCH LONGER I CAN KEEP THIS UP. PB IS REALLY GETTING WEIRD!
