I'm putting on a BJ's lift - awesome product, great service, thanks Brent! - anyway, the driver side bottom rear shackle bolt is completely rusted to the bushing. I've been hitting it with PB Blaster for a week before starting. I've tried heat (MAPP). It moved about 3/16" inch and now I can't even get it back where it started. It appears that I can't even cut the bolt out because of the bracket it's in. The good news is the captive nut didn't break when I pulled that bolt so I'm considering myself fortunate

Anyway, besides PB and heat any tricks I'm missing? It's too bad I can't just remove the top bolt as it's loose as a goose...

Ok, JP, as I understand this it's the rear bolt, left (drivers side) at the box in the back?
I suggest (you may have tried this) a big pair of vise grips locked on tight and a pry bar.
I assume the nut came off and it's frozen in the bushing?
If it will move back and forth, then it will come out eventually.
Beat it back and forth, in and out, keep soaking and prying.
Loosen up that crud in there enough and it will come out.

I had the same problem on my J20. I just kept hammering, prying and PB Blasting. It took a couple of days but it finally came out.

Well, we did beloth's this morning here.
The front, so this is not really applicable.
Right side took a sawzall to get off, got lucky on the left.
Cut the right bushing bolt on each side, dropped out like a baby (not sure how that works for your rear box hanger).
It's a tough cut to say the least.

Robert, you are always welcome at my place.
That's how it supposed to work.
People, help people, nothing to gain, nothing to loose.
It's a pretty simple concept that results in some very good Karma.
I prefer it that way.

Well, the bolt came out on Sat. It seemed that heat was the key. Anyone know the flash point of PB blaster? It sure seems to penetrate well when the bolt is hot! Anyway, lots of blaster, heat tapping and turning and it came out. One other was rusted in on the front main eye, but I could get to that one and pressed it out...with heat and PB...

Thanks for the advice.
