OK, i've been slacken, here's the deal, i'm going to make the kit up just as Ramsey made them. I can't try to make a kit to fit all the different winches out their. don't have the time or money to do that. i have all the steel ready to go but all the will this winch fit put a stop on it. so the kit will be the same, but the base plate will fit the rep-8000.
I'll keep my guns, money and freedom, you can have the change !!!!!

Slacker I just loaned out my '79 mount to a local guy here to try and repro for a wider drum ramsey than the short lil one Jeep used. I think that style mount would be easier to build as it doesn't have the side plates with the multiple bends in them that tweak in there at an angle...

                I luv mine

Mine is blacked out with a custom bumper & I've used the crap it of it. Mines the real deal with a Ramsey winch & I wouldn't have anything else. At least in the design I mean. Red Mistress has seen it. There's no doubt it's the best looking & strongest set up. A winch is one of those things you say what would I use it for. We'll I've pulled tree stumps, fence post, raised/lowered radio towers, straightened frames & OH pull myself & other stuck trucks out.

Hard to see. That is the idea. There was some verbage about fitment this is a 12k & it fits great right under the radiator. It reinforces the front of the frame perfectly. That will be key to any system to ensure it is built well enough to not collapse in on itself. We pulled the front end off the ground & repaired a wheel bearing in a sand pit once that's what it should do. Downisdes not a lot but you do have to open the hood to level wind the cable back. There's tons of room to do this & it protects the bottom of your radiator & harmonic balance & oil filter.

                      resurrected thread

Couldn't help but wonder if this reproduction was still being explored. I love the concept of this design. I didn't take the time to re-read but this setup doesn't interfere with Jeep grill guard does it? I see its being used with one members rig (serehill) with a grill guard-just didn't know if mods had to be made.
