    Cherokee chief front ends

I've done a little research but I can't seem to find too much info about the grills and head lights. Why do some have 4 lights, others have 2 and some have a full grill and some only have the center grill? I have a 1980 4 door cherokee chief with the holes for the center 2 lights but they aren't there and it has a full sized grill. I'll try to post some pics.

    Thanks.

The FSJ Jeep was built from 1963-1991 and had quite a few grill options, they have been swapped around depending on owners tastes.
Your rig had a full sized grill (pretty sure pig-nose style) with two square headlamps as it came from the factory.

The front valance behind the grill is 90% the same as a 1963 FSJ that came with a small center grill and exposed the "other" headlamp holes.

I'm trying to load pictures but I'm not computer savvy. The head lights (all 4) are round. I'm not a big fan of the full size grill so if anyone wants to trade or buy one, I've got it. Guess I'm gonna look for the pig nose and the other lights I need.

None of the FSJs came with 4 headlights stock. The M715s came with blackout lights in the second holes and people have put extra lights in those holes themselves.
Jeep gauges are for amusement only. Any correlation between them and reality is purely coincidental.

Rumor was that Jeep did offer as a option a set of driving lights in place of the block off plates on the rhino grills in the 60's. (I don't claim to be 100% on that though)
