Anyone need 84, J20 parts or whole truck??

today I found an old J20 at a closed down truck repair/salvage yard. I remembered that at one time they had hauled in about 12 old Jeep pickups from a contractor in Frisco, Tx. The ones in the front were scrapped years ago, but I wondered if they had any still behind the building. I went out and looked, and sure enough, there is one truck left. I know the son of the owner, (who passed away). Talked to him and he said he would sell the truck, or parts from it, whatever I wanted. I might buy it, but it is partly stripped and there is not much I would need.
Here is what it is. Let me know if anyone needs parts so I can decide if it is worth buying.
1984, J20, 360,auto trans., part time 4x4, 8400GVW. ROT FREE body is complete, interior missing steering column, door panels, seat, and some dash parts. Engine was rebuilt just before it was parked, about 15 years ago. Engine missing radiator, carb. and probably some other parts. Tailgate missing latch. There are about 4 extra aluminum ?/chrome? front bumpers that are real straight. A couple of extra doors that look good.
Anyone need any of this stuff, or the whole truck? not sure if I will buy it myself unless it is cheap, and others can use parts from it.
Jeff

Im looking for a good driver door, no power windows. Outside chrome needs to be in good shape. Could ship it via greyhound as there is a terminal near my house. Can you check shipping to 93065 or greyhound to Thousand Oaks, CA.

Also any chance to get some pics?
Thanks for doing this for everyone!

I will be checking with the owner on monday or Tues. to see what he will take for the whole truck. If It is something I think I can handle, i will go for it, and then get back to all who need stuff. If I decide to pass, I will post back here and perhaps someone else close will want to get it.
I may try to go back tomorrow if it is warmer and have a closer look at the old truck.
Keep the requests coming, so if this works out I can get back with everyone in a timely basis.
Jeff

Cool, and I am not sure, but if the Transfer case is a 208, and you could work out the shipping for the TC and the tailgate, I would be VERY interested

Is the whole grille still on it? I'm also needing the dome/cargo light assembly on the back of the cab and the rear window with the rubber window gasket. I like to have the tailgate and driverside fender too.

I am making a "parts to check on" list from these posts. I will go back to give the truck a good inspection on Monday. Then, will see what I can get it for. Stay tuned for an update as soon as I know something.

For a good price, I could use the gauge cluster if it is in pretty decent shape.

Extra parts

I know the gas tank is different but still might be able to retro it. Really looking for 1973 tank ( Square style ) with spout & straps & smack guard.

Jeff,
Might have missed it above, if so, my apologies.
If that J20 has an NP208 w/floor shifter (not the type by the seat, the type on the trans hump, like a normal shifter) I would be most interested in the floor shifter setup.
Condition does not matter as long as the majority of it is there.
Thanks,
Tad

I know a couple of people asked about the tailgate But
if I had a chance to get the bed I would need the Tailgate also. I hope this does not create a problem. Thanks

I would be interested in the entire cab, bare.
Shipping would not be possible, so I would arrange to have it picked up.

If you wanted the tailgate with the bed, then yes you are first in line for the tailgate....

Elliot and I looked at the truck today. I then decided to buy the whole truck to part out. Will be evaluating what I need off of it and will see what is left that is worth selling.
