Tow Hitch from 87 Grand Wagoneer to Fit J10

Hey, I sold a tow hitch I pulled off my 87 GW, and he is saying it is too narrow for his J10. Are these compatible or am I missing some bracket or component?

Oh, Ok. So the frames are different?

Yup. Trucks got a wider frame to deal with the heavier loads so the stress is moved closer to the wheel bearing.
Jeep gauges are for amusement only. Any correlation between them and reality is purely coincidental.

Made them more stable too. but limited wheel width for big tires.
