I walked out to garage to work on wiring. Got distracted sanded and painted firewall, finished connecting front end to pitman and pitman to steering box, installed heater core, heater fan, new 3/8" fuel line for Snyper, wiper motor, installed Brake Hydroboost (need to Bleed- son coming over Sat to help), finish undercoating. Installed steering shaft. I did get a little wiring done.

I went with Elliotts company Custom Power Brake. I sent you a PM about being about being able to put cannister on either side. Elliott is a good guy.

CustomPowerBrake.com - Hydroboost conversions for your brakes. It is great for off-roading in 4x4s with larger tires, towing, and racing. Add more stopping power to your brakes!

        Tell him I said hello.

Some serious "Red Neck Engineering" went into getting the GW body back on the frame. Lots of help from my Son-in-law Gilbert (center) and my son Alex (Right) greatly appreciated. We really had a blast that day.

Big difference! The most difficult part is getting the old body mounts out. I only broke one mount bolt in the back (felt pretty lucky about that). I soaked the bolts with Blaster for three days straight. I believe this helped a bunch. Glad thats done.

They are the Poly from BJ's. I searched and searched for rubber, but no luck. I like these.

Installing Transfer case 229 and Transmission 727 this week. First time rebuilding TC, those bearing pins were a PITA. Dropped them inside the casing 3 times. Which meant removing parts three times. The trick is less grease not more, so bearing fits easier (Who Knew). My TC was leaking horribly, I hope this takes care of that issue. Except for the previous mentioned pin bearings there was nothing difficult about the rebuild.

I purchased the Hydroboost from Elliott at Custom Power Brake. Elliott was easy to deal with and helpful. A heads up, you are gonna need the mounting bracket from the old brake booster to install Hydroboost to the firewall. The cool thing is you can install the hydroboost with the cannister on either side. I choose facing away from the engine, felt like it gave me more room. Elliott suggested hoses to use for the power steering and steering box with a little persuasion they work well.

Finally got started wiring the GW. Purchased E-Z Wiring Harness from BJ's. Have been talking to Shawn and he has been super helpful. Not hard to do with the Great service from E-Z wire. Took Rang-stang's advice bought plenty of zip ties.
