My waterpump needs to be replaced
My water pump needs to be replaced, the once every now and then slight drip is now a constant drip this morning.
It gets over 100 in the summertime and I want the best cooling water pump.
Here care my choices:
Rock Auto:
BOSCH Part # 98048 Aluminum
Impeller is 8 blade
BOSCH Part # 98203 Aluminum
Impeller is 8 blade with plate welded to it
Oreillys:
Murray Part # CP3401
Impeller is 8 blade
Napa:
truflow #TFW 43002
Impeller is 8 blade
Autozone:
Duralast #CWP-538
Impeller is 8 blade
Duralast # CWP-538HDA Aluminum
Impeller is 8 blade
Which one should I use?
Thanks

The new NAPA, AutoZone, Oreilly's, cast iron versions are all made by GMB.
Just rebranded/relabeled and sold under many many different brand names.
Chinese, POOR quality housings that require work just to bolt it up.
They rub on the harmonic balancer, and the casting is really bad for hose surfaces/sealing.
The aluminum housing GMB pumps, fit w/o work, and the casting is much much better.
There are 2 versions OE and HD both aluminum.

Haven't seen a Bosch pump so cannot speak about them.

I went with the Aluminum one that BJ's sells, didnt know there was a steel option I guess. I also used a High flow thermostat that I got from Summit racing. Of course I am trying to cool a .020 401 and wanted to make sure I had adequate cooling.
