    1980 interior colors??

I have a 1980 J10 sportside with a tan interior. Does anyone know how many options there were and what color is mine??

If I were to make a guess I would say yours is sand. Both my 79's and my 87 have sand interior. I don't know that's what yours is but I would say that more than likely it is.

Thanks TJR. Im pretty sure that it is sand also. I have had 2 CJ7's with nutmeg, and its definately not that. its a very light tan.

No problem, nutmeg would've been my only other guess without seeing pictures but I don't see too many j trucks with it. Is there something you're looking for that's missing from your interior?

I'll try to check that when i'll be back home, i know that for 81, J10 interior colors were : black, blue, beige or nutmeg, probably the same for a 80. BTW the trim code is on the VIN plate

Yes, I believe that's right. I don't think it was called sand until later, although my 87 and both 79's look practically identical. Beige should be correct for an 80.

^^^^This is right although nutmeg was not available with the Honcho package.

Tan levi with no logo on buttons was an 80 option.

My 80 Sportside has that interior.

Yep this is what I always call sand. I forget that was actually called beige at the time.

Beige is a grayish tan, it's a French word for the natural wool color

Leave it to you mud89 to enlighten us on its French meaning haha just kidding. Your info is always accurate and appreciated. But I'm sure I'll keep calling it sand just out of habit.

Back home : colors for a '80 sportside upholstery were : black, blue , beige, no nutmeg. Cara vinyl or denim if it was a sportside honcho or if that option was chosen for the standard sportside.
