preventing door from fully opening

getting the honcho back together

I have noticed that when the doors open fully

the edge of the door touches the j-10 emblem on front fender

it has cut into the Honcho decals a little, mostly hidden from view when door is closed, but I k now it is there,...

dont want this to happen again,...

has anyone ever done anything to prevent doors from fully opening ?
is there some part that is missing or worn in the hinges, etc ?

looks like you could glue a hard rubber block in the hard to see hinge area that may work ?

any advice, comments appreciated....even it they say I am an idiot....

My 79 Wag front doors seem to do the same. The hinges allow for a max "way open" option. I don't recall that with my 84 and 85. The rear door hinges are equipped with a small spring to prevent the feared "Way Open" feature. I may install a rubber stop on the front hinges. Seems simple, but I'll probably doof it up.

Not only Wagoneer, All FSJ front door hinges changed to the reduced opening type. I do not recall when but I guess some time between 1978 and 1980.
