Yeah, I was thinking supercharger (procharger) because that's mostly what we have experience with but I've wanted a turbo for years and now is the time. I already have to make custom headers so why not turbo headers? Should end up being cheaper than the procharger too.

As far as the intercooler is concerned, I'm not really sure if I want to do air/air out front or water/air in the cab. Even if I go air/air space won't be an issue because I'm not running a core support and the engine is set back a bit. Thanks for the link to Zack's pictures.

What is the Cherokee's exhaust like now? Does it still have stock front inner fenders?

I am interested in how you are going to run the exhaust for a single turbo setup.

The Cherokee doesn't have any exhaust currently. I'm going to have to build from scratch, headers and all. No inner fenders or front core support either.

Most likely it's going to go outside the frame rail on the passenger side and kick out by the rear tire. Other option is to cut a hole in the front fender and exit there, just depends on how loud it is. Single 5" all the way.

I mean more as to how you will tie the exhaust into the turbo itself.

I'm going to build the headers with 1.5" schedule 10 stainless pipe and weld elbows. The actual layout depends on final placement of the turbo. I will probably run both sides forward and merge them in front of the engine, then run to the turbo. My main requirement is that I can get to the spark plugs and header bolts easily so the headers will be designed around that. Nothing worse than a race car that's a pain to work on, and a lot of turbo cars are.

Picked up the parts this weekend, you almost have to see them in person to appreciate the size and weight.

2 liter of coke for size reference

              96mm turbine wheel

              Bullseye compressor wheel

              Bullseye race cover

              Playing with mounting locations

Final placement of the turbo. I've welded a spare T6 flange to the roll bar that sandwiches between the turbo and exhaust flange. Also put a 3.5" v-band right before that so I will be able to remove the exhaust without removing the turbo. From there it splits to two 2.5" pipes that run over the a-arm, under the passenger side frame rail. One goes directly to the passenger side header and the other snakes between the oil pan and suspension crossmember and to the driver's side header. The headers are going to be shorty 'ram horn' style manifolds made from 1 1/2" sch 40 pipe. The 5" downpipe is going to follow the fender flare down and exit just behind the front tire.

                        Super nice.
There is no way to rule innocent men.
The only power government has is the power to crack down on criminals.
Well, when there aren't enough criminals, one makes them.
One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws.

It's an Indy 401-3 that I modified for efi. You can buy them efi-ready but it's $$$. The elbow on top is from Edelbrock and the throttle body is an aftermarket 80mm Ford style. Injectors are Ford Motorsports 80lb and it'll be controlled by a Megasquirt ECU.

The turbo looks great and it is deadly dangerous
and it is able to eat the block
I can't wait go through with it
