    GW Door Hinges

Do the door hinges have springs? To retain the door from slamming open?

If they do, mine are broken. On the rear door, I know there is a little strap to keep the door from opening too far, but that's broken too.

    Any pics appreciated.

    Newly acquired 1986 GW. 4? (I think Rusty?s lift).
Needs interior work. Smells like a refinery on the outside. Relatively rust free.

No springs or straps on front door hinges.

      Ok thanks. That helps.

On the rear, the pass side "strap" has been broken for a while allowing the door to swing open too far (far enough that the door has been damaged).

I'll have to use the driver's side as a guide to make a new one, as I haven't seen these anywhere.

No "straps" on rear doors either...a PO mod perhaps?

The lower rear hinges have metal bar integrated w/that spring that maybe you're referring too?

Thanks - I?ll post a pic to show what I mean.

It?s a small shaped bar (not strap) on the lower hinge on the rear door. It prevents the door from opening too far. Mine is broken, and the door has at some point opened too far, causing it to get damaged.
