    New amc 360 from BJ

After years of putting my truck on the back burner I am in a position to finally start doing just about everything it needs. As the title states I’m doing a new long block 360. I’ve talked to one of the owners at bjs and he’s got me pretty setup with what I’m going for. Reliability or as much of it as I can get.

Are there any ifsja and bj’s off-road coupons anymore? Haha I tried bj100 code and it didn’t work.

Going to do roller timing chain, RV style cam, oil line modification, flexplate and balancer balances rotating assembly and everything else stock.

    Any suggestions? comments?

I will be running it with a carb for a bit while I address other things on the truck but plan on goin fuel Injected and electronic ignition dist.

Thanks! So excited to have this thing running like it should! Any advice appreciated!

Don't need to do the oil line modification for your stock rebuild, save the money.

Ive got the 360 rebuild from BJs. They did a great job getting it to me in Florida and they decked the block, milled the heads and and milled the intake of the heads for the intake to seal correctly. I purchased the OEM rebuild but would definitely get the cam next time.

There should also be a discount for IFSJA members, I believe you need to email them with your username here and they add it to your account. I doubt that will stack with the coupon code above, but worth a shot.

Meaning? You killed many motors and the oil line mod didn't save them?

I think all he is saying is don't waste your time sand money on this modification, not needed unless your turning this motor at high rpms for long durations.( which is what I said also)

Cool thanks for The advice, rookie mistake but I had bjs do the oil line mod as I think it was randy at BJs said to go ahead and do the mod. I’m assuming the block wiull come with the mod installed. Now I’m just waiting here which Ian the hardest part.

I'm just curious about 2 things.

#1 How much extra did the oil mod cost?

#2 Why buy from BJ's and not just go directly to S&J engines in Spokane?

                        The oil line mod from
Bjs was an extra 175 bucks I believe.
I got 10% off on cyber Monday
And honestly I didn't have a clue about S&J and liked how randy helped me out over the phone and also gave me a lot of info on fuel injection and other stuff I want to do to this 360.

I looked around on the web and didn’t find S&J when looking for amc 360 blocks

Wow, I only charge $20.00 to put the internal oil line in.
I guess I need to up my prices!
I have 360 blocks and complete cores stacked up if someone wants one or six.
