If you can't make it better why waste your time. No use repeating the orignal mistakes. I'm to old to push it that's why.

Are you willing to do custom harnesses? I am very interested in one of your headlight and foglight harnesses, but I am trying to consolidate all of the relays and fuses under the hood into a repurposed XJ Cherokee power distribution box.

So, this relay harness would definitely work with the LED headlights linked above but just to clarify: it will not improve anything over the stock wiring.
Relay harnesses work by using a heavier gauge wire that allows more power to reach the headlight bulbs than the typically built-to-a-budget factory stuff.
LEDs draw a *lot* less power than OE headlights, though, and don't need the help.
I did this same thing on my XJ and it's the best bang for the buck you can get on headlights. Them JW Speaker lights ain't cheap.

HMM interesting, But not even remotely correct. In fact the harness does improve the circuitry & ability to reduce load to the dimmer switch & headlight switch. EVEN WITH LED. I've already spoken with titanjeep on the phone so he's good. This relay system does & can improve any system. I know the design & there are other problems in the factory system. This is a SJ not a XJ. Although I've built & seen significant improvement in XJ's with the same harness. It still removes load off the dimmer & headlight. It takes the least path of resistance. New wire & new grounds are beneficial. Again it still reduces total load from the dimmer & headlight switch, which are anemic. Unless your led headlight only uses 1/2 of 1 amp. Which they don't. It also reduces load to the fuse block. There are more advantages than simply providing larger wire to the circuit. Also providing new porcelain sockets that can't hurt anything since the OEMs are at a minimum 20 years old. Leds are expensive you should make sure you are getting the most out of them.

Actual specs of these LED bulbs is 8 amps where the actual load of the relay is one half an amp. The led does draw less than incandescent, but not a lot less. The primary objective is to remove as much load as possible from the dimmer & headlight switch. The led reduction in load is not enough to be declared negligent. Or rendering the relay not needed by any means.

No problem. Just saw your post about this in the General Section this evening. I don't usually look in there. Good luck. I have neighbor that had a double, he's doing good. Keep it up, watch the sun, you'll do fine.

I am considering this as my next "upgrade" for my GW. Quick question, I am trying to make life simple and use similar upgrades on both of my vehicles ('88 GW and '83 Scrambler). Any idea if this would work on an '88 Jeep CJ-8 Scrambler???

I know the concept will; just wanting something that uses the same parts and wires the same way.

Thanks to Serehill's advice and guidance, I was able to plan out my relay box. I spent a lot of time going back and forth on what I wanted to do and finally finished it this weekend. Six relays, with five controlling the Howell, DUI, high beams, low beams and day time running lights. I also built a bracket to mount them all behind the battery. I learned a lot from both builds so I planning for v2.0 of both.
