    2013 ideas?

So, what are your thoughts? We do this again and hang at the Cruces KOA or talk about something else or just tell me to shut up?

        Camping, yes.
But there is no real wheeling per say since a lot of the GNF is wilderness area.
There is a strip between the Gila Wilderness and the Aldo Leopold Wilderness area, that includes some tributaries of Mimbres River area.
Rstep and I wheeled down from (N Star Rd from Hwy 35) Cooney, NM back to the river a few years ago.
Nice camping in the area but it's not wheeling except for a few tight spots.
We also did McNight Rd. up towards the peak, we didn't make the peak simply due to time, but saw some potential down in what they call the Yates Canyon area, I have not been back.

None of this would really interest the big rig folks that have to trailer out, it's just not worth the drive w/trailer to see pretty scenery.
I hold any commitment until we hear from them since that was the main point of doing the 'Cruces trips.

All things considered I still have a list of things I want to do around Silver.
        Ft. Cummins North of Deming:

        107°38'24.72"W

Hell's Half Acres off Hwy 180:
        32°56'42.40"N
        108°28'4.74"W

Anything between Blue and Hwy 180
        33°35'20.38"N
        108°57'36.46"W
That area is littered with old logging roads between AZ and NM.

I am open minded. My goal is to stick to the plan unlike last year with breaking my junk while cruising the blacktop 80 miles from home.

Yea, the Q does just fine even at 13,000 feet and with 4.66 gears it crawls along pretty well too.
We just try not to beat up the body a whole bunch.
Eventually we will get some body damage, then we can yank the flares and bumpers and have some fun with it but it will always be limited by the front CV shafts as far as the big stuff goes.

I am probably out this year. Probably going to be an every other year for me since my son is traveling more for sports, and I just started a new job. Need to build up some vacation time. But things may change.

hey michael, did u ever finish that video? as for us, this year is the same as every one before. the jeep is still in the same place i unloaded it and it's still just as broke. my dodge blew up so i have had all of my attention on building it. when it is done it should be around 500-600 hp at the wheels and still tow the jeep easily
