    T-15 Rear Bearing

    Does anyone have a NOS non Chinese Rear Bearing for the T15 Transmission?
    1977 Jeep J10
    258 Engine
    Weber 38 carb
    T15 Trans
    Dana 20 with Tera Low
    Dana 44 Front and Rear axles
    Custom 16 inch rims 235x85 R16 Duratrac tires

    I would look in the parts book and cross the Jeep PN, or perhaps cross the original number on the bearing. Jeep would have bought these bearings from a bearing manufacturer like Fafnir or Timken or National.

    You could also try calling Herm www.hermtheoverdriveguy.com - He rebuilds these transmissions as part of his business, and has located sources for good parts. Parts Mike is another good source for parts.

    If you find a Japanese bearing, those are usually of good quality. It's also reasonable to reject a Chinese bearing if it feels rough ... IME they can be somewhat variable in quality, and you might be able to pick a good one.
