However, my buddy dug out a few Gems for me - and I had to drive a bit to go pick them up.

A NOS tailgate safety switch! YEA !!!

Oh, AND a NOS tailgate power tailgate key switch!

And how about a NOS key cover (with a working spring) ...
And the base with a NOS gasket.

My Jeep never had rear cargo carpet strips...
He gave me a full set and then some.
Just needs cleaning up, not dented and destroyed.
A set of tailgate strips as well with a nice carpet hold down rear strip. .

And then there's the nice used sill guards, inner and outers.. Mine are beat.

I have never seen NOS 3 pc bumper ends...
Wrapped in the original corrosion protective wrapping with shipping labels ...

They are PERFECT.

Nothing "Epic" . . .

More reassembly ... Worked on the grill install.

Used the rarely used "gasket" between the grill and fender to help protect the paint.

rang-a-stang shared some of this material he had left over. (Thank You!)
It slides onto the sharp edge of the outer sides of a Razon grill.

I added a bit of Goop to the inside edge, and taped it in place to let the glue set up a bit.

It is now ready to install on the fresh paint. Note the black rubber on the edge now.

Had to search out the bag with the grill screws and hardware.

Had a little bit of time yet ... Sooo -

Started to add a bit of sound deadener to the tailgate.
Rolled it on with a wooden roller to get a good grip on the metal.

This makes a huge difference in eliminating the hollow tinny sound when you tap the sheet metal.

Added a large piece inside the door - It's big.
Covers 70% of the inside of the door.
HUGE improvement.

You can see the door drains at the bottom of the door.
