Beware Bad Ebay Seller FSJ Parts - HILBOBBY

stay away from HILBOBBY from the bay area. Sold me a 1963 all metal dash. Paid $100 for the dash, and $62 for shipping. He sent it priority mail for $5.95 and the rest the post office wanted from me when it arrived.

Contacted seller about it and he said "shipping isn't free" and I told him that I already paid for it. I then asked for e refund of the remaining funds I had to pay to get the dash, and his response was "that's not going to happen"

So contacted eBay and asked for the refund through them and he selected return the item for a refund, which is a scam because I would also haver to pay return shipping.

Finally opened a PayPal claim and submitted a fraud claim through the local Postmaster and wow, he refunded the shipping right away.

Beware of this scammer trying to collect extra money through shipping fraud.

Good advise. I buy thousands of dollars of parts every year and these people do pop up.

So you refused the shipment when it arrived? How much more did they want?

Sounds like he dropped it off at the PO with the $6 label on it and ran. They shouldn't have shipped it I think.

That was a good price even if you had to pay the extra and you might have got it back.

had a similar issue getting my LSD (for the mini) from England, I had paid for shipping and when it arrived mail dude was asking for a credit card.. I was not pleased. But it was also the last LSD in the country while the company struggles to supply a contract with Ford so I'm glad to have it but not happy the way it was handled.

No, I needed and wanted that dash, and as everyone knows, they are getting harder to come by. I paid the shipping on my end and hoped I could work it out. I also needed the receipt from the post office for the claim.

PayPal stood by me and I got the shipping back, and the seller kept the $100 which is as it should have been in the first place.

Yeah, I think he just printed the label at home, and dropped it on the USPS counter and ran. Glad I got it.
