For those of you with a Howell TBI EFI on your CA smog'able rigs:
If I install a Howell TBI on my truck, I assume I have to take it to a smog ref to get one of their stickers before I actually go in for my bi-annual smog check, right? Or do I just install it according to Howells directions and stick the Howell sticker on my truck?
I get nervous to bring my Chero to a smog ref because of the "not smog legal" 401 in my 79 Chero. I am worried if I install the Howell kit and take it to a smog ref, they will notice the huge 401 cast on my block and tell me to go home and get a block with a 360 cast into it. I am not too worried about a regular smog bubba noticing the 401 but a smog ref might.
