    ButterScotch Gold Lust

So spent a few years as a teen in close proximity to what I believe was a 72-74 ButterScotch Gold with White Trim Stripe and maybe a beige interior if memory serves. It was what set off my love for Wagoneers. I now have an itch that needs scratching. Any potential candidates to help me with my itch on the board

Maybe '72 only? It looks great with the two-tone scheme.

Found some a color sheet for 73 but doesn't appear on the 74 color sheet I saw. Does not dampen my fervor for a ButterScotchGold rig...now to find me one

Yep, '72-73 according to the parts book. I remember '72s in that color. All I remember from '73 is Fairway Green Poly (another excellent color). I recall BG was kinda soft and more prone to branch/brush scrapes than the other colors. Back then, they used acrylic enamel, and today's formulations should be more durable. The cadmium colors (red-orange-yellow) will sun-bleach pretty badly. Again, today's UV protection will be better than what they used in the day.

Just googled it; I see why you liked it! Super good looking! I have seen that color on rigs on Craigslist out here in the past.

Do you want a rig that IS that color or one that could have been that color? Are you looking for one that runs/drives or one that you could get running and driving? What if it was a truck in that color? that OK?

Pretty steadfast on getting rig that is that color, runner would be nice but depends on the body I guess. Took a hard look at a 73 on FB marketplace but it was Copper Tan Metallic and decided to wait till the right one comes.around. I have a terrific rig now just not the one of my dreams like the Butterscotch Gold is so okay to wait.

Indeed but that is a 6k rig max. Thanks for looking out for me though. I use searchtempest but some how have not seen that Craigslist ad.

Pulled off the PTO winch last night. I think Im going to have him paint the stripe area white then if I get a bug in m bonnet I can always wood vinyl over it later. Need to find a subdued white for it though.

Did you find the fender extensions you were looking for? Do you need any other parts (I am parting out a 70 J3000, has a pretty nice bumper on it)?

Jeep had the "Champagne White" color code 432 in 74 that that they would do the 2 tones rigs in, maybe that inside the stripe?
