Amc valve cover bolt and thread?

What is the correct size bolt thread and type thread for the AMC V8 valve cover bolts?

1/4"-20 x 5/8" thread? If someone provided you the noted figures would this work for the AMC V8?

On the 1988 model year, they are 1/4-20. The length sounds like it would work depending on the thickness of the gasket.
1988 Grand Wagoneer (nude) 360 bored .03 over, Edelbrock performer intake/Carb/Cam, TFI upgrade, Thorley Ceramic coated headers, 3" High flow Cat, 70 series flowmaster, Espo springs (No lift) and air bags in the rear (for trailer towing), CS144 upgrade.

I recall that was the size my 1976 360 used. I had it off often.
