Unfortunately Frank refused to call Fedex to have them put a tracer on the package. Once they did that, it would have been resolved immediately and he would have received either a refund from us if Fedex found & redelivered to us, or if they couldn't find it, they would have issued him the credit directly. Instead, he keeps wasting both his time and ours posting how it was us screwing him, and expects us to pay for a part that wasn't returned (wow, a delivery company says a part is delivered that actually wasn't, how incredible; if that never happened, then why would those companies have such huge loss & claims departments I wonder).

The fact is rather than taking literally 2 minutes to start the tracer, Frank chose to make his credit card company eat the charges (even though it wasn't their fault), and has wasted thousands of dollars of other people's time. Class act. Oh, and Frank, since I know you will read this, we refund people every day for parts that are returned to us. The funny part about this is if Frank decided to call Fedex, they would still initiate a tracer and would search for the package.

Frank, don't mistake my responses for wanting your business back. My responses are to defend our company against your false accusations. I don't think we have received any bad press, I think we have defended ourselves pretty well here. I have received multiple PM's of people saying how big of a joke you are - I don't agree with the names they have called you but that is the perception of ffrayer. I will not man up and fix the issue because the package isn't here, the tracking shows it as delivered but, again, it is not. Can you 'man-up' and call Fed-Ex?

Every part of me wishes it was here so I could refund your money and be done with you, but the fact that you called your credit card company instead of us or FedEx has created a lot of extra paperwork and hassle on both of our ends that I wish could have been avoided. You've got your money back from your credit card company so why not just drop these false accusations and be done?

I, for one, am getting tired of posting the same thing over and over and over again but I will continue to post on your responses to defend our company.

Thanks for reading, have a great week.

I'm wondering what ffrayer would do if he ordered something and the vendor said it was delivered and showed the same proof ff's showing.

I rather think he would say "I never singed for it, they must have delivered it to the wrong place, happens all the time" and expect the vendor to eat the cost or chase down the package.

Granted I've only had one order from BJ's but it was recent. Shipping was fast, price was reasonable. I'll order from them again.

What I am getting sick of is reading the same person taking every chance they can find to drag a companies name through the mud that appeared to try and work out a problem.

Seems like a simple request to me. Frank, prove them wrong right here in front of everyone to see. In other words.....put up or shut up!
I for one find it odd that only five days after you sign up on the forum and in your first post on this thread, you are already wondering if you'll have to file a claim w/ the cc company & dispute. Seriously, call for the trace, prove em' wrong & we will all laugh at them. Until that happens I know whose side I'm on.

Guess there wasn't a trace done yet? I personally have bad experiences with fed ex through my place of business. BTW even if you have a signature its no guarantee. I had a Mickey Mouse sign for a panel box we shipped once.

I have ordered a fistful of parts from BJ's Off Road and have only had one instance that necessitated a return; I ordered the wrong fuel filler neck. I talked to Ryan and got my RMA with an email confirmation of such. Packaged it up, sent it back in a Flat Rate box (which INCLUDES tracking), and received a quick email confirmation that they got it and how much my credit was. I turned around and ordered the correct filler neck along with a few more parts; of which I got them PDQ. EVERY time I have called I have ordered I have gotten quality parts. EVERY time I have called I have gotten a professional demeanor that was more over like talking to a buddy. BJ's has always been a class act. They'll keep getting my business!

Now ... IF only I could get Brent to send me some stickers.

I was with you on BJs operating a little funky, at least back when I dealt with them, but I've met the owner of Z&M, seen his work, and ate lunch with the man. Unless he's developed a sudden affinity for hallucinogenic controlled substances there was absolutely nothing weird about him.

Mark, you and I have spoken many times about the scuff plates. We advised you immediately that we were out of stock, and you said no problem, keep it on order. I offered to refund your money on multiple occasions, and you said no, keep it and you'd wait for the product. If you want a refund, we have no problem doing that right away (we issue refunds all the time for cancellations, returns, etc.).

No, he'd rather be a PITA.

Meanwhile...I'm putting together a nice list of stuff I need for the DieselWag. Order should be going through before the end of the week. I've had nothing but excellent service from BJ's.

Thank you guys for supporting our bad habit.

In his defense, companies do not typically charge your card for a service/product that is on back order or out of stock until it ships. Now if the vendor told him ahead of time they would place a courtesy hold on his card at time of ordering then he really should not have any complaints.

And we don't charge peoples cards until their order ships -- UNLESS they pay PayPal, we have no way around this, it is how PayPal handles the transaction.

I've ordered a lot of stuff from BJs. I have had one or two problems, and I quickly realized that you need to call them and talk to them if you have an issue. We are all very quick to use email/forums/etc (I'm just as guilty), and for whatever reason that's just slower with BJs. Every time I have called, I get a nice, knowledgeable person who fixes everything. I've even left messages and they actually do call back. So, if you have an issue, call and talk to a human. It's sort of a nice thing, actually.

5k and counting? You are actually tracking and keeping a dollar count of all the parts that you and your club would have bought from BJ's, but now haven't because of this?

I believe you, but I bet a lot of guys think your making that up. You should show them wrong and post up that list you've been keeping.

Too bad he couldn't be bothered to initiate a trace rather than claim the seller is screwing him. Seems to me he got his part and the credit card co was left on the hook for the part. Why else wouldn't he at least try a trace?
