Well, my friend and wheel'n buddy Bob was gracious enough to put together some custom bumpers and a roll bar for the Jeep. I wanted the bumpers tight, since I park the jeep inside a small garage. I was also looking for something that would not destroy the approach and departure angles and had a custom but stock look to them. Also, I had a winch I wanted to mount but not block air flow or the pretty grill. He pretty much nailed it.
And a shot of the rear bumper:
A shot of the roll bar. The spare is mounted via a plate and welded to the roll bar. His kids put together the net and pads. I took the speakers and mounted them using a couple of pieces of flat iron and some hose clamps. I am going to replace the interior panels... the carpeted ones are shot and the diamond plate rattles too much...
The proud builder:
Thanks Bob and Tad, Joe and the kids who all pitched in!!! I can't tell you how much I love having decent bumpers, some good recovery points, the peace of mind of the roll bar/net and the winch finally mounted!
